The only thing that is accurate about your post is that Joe Biden has been in office for years. But has he really reached across the the political aisle? Let's test that theory.

However as a Trump voter you have to take some responsibility for the result.
And I generally approve of the results of his "policy decisions". Did I approve of the economic results of his policy with some of the best numbers in 50 years? Yes. The biggest objection seems to be that the rich got richer, which is the correct result of an economy getting better in a Capitalist society. Did I like the results of his foreign policy moves making our NATO partners pay their fair share? Hell yes! Did I like the result of his "stay in Mexico policy"? Yes. Did I like the result of his hard line on Iran and taking out Sulamani? Yep. Did I like the result of his Supreme Court choices? Yep. Which brings us to Jan. 6th.
I do believe his rhetoric was "too much" and lasted too long, but this was not a policy as much as the "expression" that I have often criticized and will again, right here, right now.. Do I blame him for the stupidity of others? I do not. Anybody reading my writings for any length of time will find a re-occurring them of "personal responsibility". "Come to the Capital to demonstrate and show your displeasure" is a hallmark of Democrats as well as Republicans. How each person interprets those words like "come and fight" words said often by Democrats, is up to each individual. As we saw all summer, those words from Democrat leaders resulted in death, injured law enforcement, arson and looting from which Democrats sought no punishment what so ever.
Do you take any responsibility being a supporter of Democrats for any of that activity I just described or would you say that those were individual choices which you take no responsibility for? I'll be interested in hearing your answer to that question.
Even knowing about his narcissistic tendencies you still voted for a man who is incapable of taking blame for anything,
I seem to remember Commala Harris asking Joe Biden if he was willing to take the blame for making that young Black child, her, less welcome in "White schools" and he didn't want to be responsible for creating a "racial jungle". Did Joe Biden accept blame or did he deny what he was being accused of?
has no empathy for anyone but himself,
Unless you count his effort at justice reform which he got much praise from the Black community.

Van Jones praises Trump-backed criminal justice reform bill: ‘A Christmas miracle’
destroyed our relationships with our foreign allies,
That's hyperbolic at best. No relationship was "destroyed". They were tested to be sure but you see, I believe in his America first policy. I do not believe in "submitting" to others just so they will like you. That is not what a leader does.
pushed the big lie rhetoric that led to an attempted coup on January 6th and lied to the American people to such an extent that 40 percent of the country believe in a massive conspiracy to defraud the public over a stolen election with no believable proof of any kind.
I could spend the rest of the day listing the "Big lies" told by Democrats but how about the BIG LIE that lasted 4 years and took this country down an un-necessary path of angst by constantly telling the people that their President was a Russian traitor? You sound as if you don't believe that Democrats lied constantly for 4 years.
Trump could have been stopped during the primaries but too many people wanted a reality tv show host who insulted and degraded his opponents instead of an actual statesman and politician who had the capability of running our country.
|
Key words being "too many" to use your words, enough to get him elected in our electoral system. And tens of millions of people believe he ran the country quite well and anybody calling Joe Biden a "statesman" while pitting the races against each other is naive at best.

But there appear to be a number of people in this forum who seem to believe that Trump is some kind of God who does no wrong and keep slurping up his lies like pigs at the trough.
If you want to know one of the things that I don't like about Biden is his kowtowing to the progressive left. Senators worked hard to put together a bipartisan infrastructure bill (which I believe that this country needs desperately) and he failed to support it properly. Even if he walked back some of what he said if it comes to his desk he still need to sign the damn thing despite what some of those on the left have to say about it.
|
Simply question, yes or no. Are there a number of people in this forum who believe that Joe Biden is our Savior who does no wrong and will not admit when he does because nothing is more important to them than protecting their narrative even if that narrative is a lie like constantly repeating we are living in the age of Jim Crow when nothing could be further from the truth?

Too bad this thread has drifted into another "aboutism" thread. Trump is the issue. Trump remains a problem. Posters don't seem to be able to get that. If they can't defend him, then we see aboutism.
All that is needed to realize what Trump is, is what he did to Mike Pence. For 4 years Pence kissed his ass. Then Trump asked him to overturn the election. When Pence chose not to do that, but to honor the constitution, Trump has thrown him to the dumpster, with revenge on his mind....just like all the other Republicans he calls RINOS.
Trump is the biggest threat to our democracy, a terrible person, and hopefully soon will be relegated to the ash heap of politics.

LOL. He’s not even in office. It’s not he that’s a threat to the corrupt establishment, it’s the hundred million or so like-minded individuals who actually love and give AF about the country. President Trump was their megaphone.

Couple of comments:
"Give Trump credit,” he continues. “He did his homework well and became the twenty-first-century master of divisive rhetoric."
To my mind, that "title" belongs to Rush. Trump , Carlson, and others merely follow on his coattails. I fear that such rhetoric could be the downfall of this country. Rush should not have been given the Medal of Freedom...his mouth fostered the current state of disrespect and "labeling" toward political opponents. Our fathers and their fathers knew better. Unfortunately, now about "sound bites" and conspiracy posturing than fact.
"trump was never a threat to democracy"
That's yet to be determined, and the Trumpists don't seem to care about getting to the truth. His village idiot supporters definitely were a threat to attempt to deprive every citizen of lawful constitutional process by duly elected representatives.
Trump's old, so I'm more concerned about a couple of his "hangers on"

Then what the fuck is he doing touring the border with Greg Abbott or hosting rallies in Sarasota. Because he still thinks and acts like he's the President when he's not. And he's feeding those hundred million like-minded individuals you mentioned a big pile of horse shit while he does it.

reminding everyone like you who voted for Biden what an incompetent shithead Biden is.
have you seen the numbers at the border surge? 20+ year highs all because Biden invited the scum of the world to invade the US.
i'm sure you are fine with that, as long as they don't move in next to you .. right??

You guys can spew about protecting the border all you want. The REAL threat to this country occurred on January 6th. Disruption of constitutional process by duly elected representatives of the people. Every American was violated. The "Village Idiots" and their supporters need to own it.
