That's not what inflation is. Inflation is a decrease in the general spending power of an economy. While there could be some correlation between a raise in taxes and inflation (I'm not an economist, so I can't really say much more than that), saying that they are one and the same would ignore many other factors that would lead to a general increase in prices for goods. Though while we're talking about a decrease in the spending power of your average American. It's worth noting that while Trump's tax cuts on average caused individuals to pay slightly less in taxes, when that is compared to the decrease in spending power of those same individuals those decreases in taxes don't really hold up. The easy view of it would be "Well more money = more spending power" but if you look at it proportionally it isn't nearly that simple. Not to mention that those small decreases to taxes vs. decreases to spending power for the middle class were a temporary provision, while the tax cuts that benefit the wealthy are permanent.


Just throwing in a couple of pennies seeing how inflation was brought up in here.

well, I could post the CBO figures to show you in black and white how trumps tax cuts did indeed help the middle class workers and the average increase was over 5200 dollars per year but you wouldnt believe it anyway......

stimulus checks and childcare payments both of them
