Earlier I had run across a direct verbatim transcript of Biden's remarks on gun control. It was a disjointed ramble full fo clichés that he couldn't connect into a coherent sentence. I started this thread, but couldn't relocate the quote as I had read it not twenty minutes earlier. All I could find were paraphrased or edited versions. One interpretation is that our Second Amendment rights include ownership of military-grade weapons.

I tried to delete the thread but couldn't get that done . . .I know there is a button somewhere but. . .no.

Which is false. People were in fact allowed to own cannons, as it was addressed in the early days with merchant ships, who were not owned by the government wanting to be able to protect themselves against privateers and the like.
