I personally don't believe it is the alcohol itself that is fattening. Lots of things have empty calories, and I drink beer. I know lots of people who drink heavily, and are thin.
Alcohol is a depressant, though, causing listlessness (for me anyway). When I worked my tail off physically, alcohol didn't have any effect on my weight, but evening alcohol and office work does.
That being said, and to make this on topic, going to the outhouse without shareable alcohol leads to loneliness. lol.
Just for context, I don't go there when it is busy.
It'd be nice to keep some updates going on the local clubs.
