Pfizer says they can only produce 170 million US doses by June 2021. That means 85 million Americans will receive a he Pfizer vaccine by next summer.

They may have a way to distribute to 300 million people but there’s not enough vaccine to accomplish that.

I'll just say I've never taken a flu shot and I'm not taking the cooties virus vaccine shot. I understand why people will do so but it's just not for me and I'm not even scared of needles.

I do wear condoms though. That's what I'm really scared of in many different ways if I don't. I'm more concerned about catching something from not doing that. That's as close to a vaccine that I will be using.

Over the past dozen years or so I've gotten a flu shot. In my opinion, no downside, possible huge upside.

Since I'm in Pfizer's study, I obviously am in favor of the COVID-19 vaccine. If I have received the placebo vaccine, I will be first on line to get the real vaccine when available.

I respect anyone's choice to not get a flu shot or the COVID-19 vaccine, but why not if it's been proven effective?

I understand what you are saying, Speed. But I've never been a sickly person so I've always lived a carefree way. Having said that, I'll probably be diagnosed with cancer in a week. That's usually what people in my family die from at my age. I've said it before, there is no longevity in my family. I will be surprised if I even make it to 50 years old. That's okay though. I've enjoyed my life for the most part..

With 10 million cases right now by the time the vaccine is distributed you will have over 100 million people in the USA infected. If 85 million were to get the Vaccine you would have around 200 plus million infections. It's possible for Herd immunity to reached in the USA if 60% of the population becomes infected. Two hundred million infections would put you at 60% of the USA population. The big question is will 85 million people take the vaccine.
