The winter holidays aren’t even here and sales of firearms have hit a new high in the U.S., already topping the prior record set in 2016, according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation. The surge began when COVID-19 hit the country in March and spurred lockdowns nationwide.
The holiday season is expected to lift gun sales even more. November and December are traditionally among the busiest months of the year for selling firearms.

I don't think they'll go door to door to confiscate weapons. They'll skirt around the Second Amendment by having frequent "Firearm Buy Back Events". They'll give you a fifty dollar Walmart Gift Card in place of your firearm. In conjunction with Buy Backs Ammo prices will be astronomical, for example a Box of twenty 9mm SJHP could realistically be 60 Dollars. The strategy here is, if they can't completely abolish the Second Amendment then make it difficult and frustrating to own a Firearm and to economically train. That will be accomplished even further by licensing to own, purchase a Firearm and Ammo. Illinois is one State that comes to mind that has that already. In Illinois Gun owners must posses a FOID (Firearm Owner Identification) Card in order to purchase a Firearm and Ammo or to to even train at a commercial pistol Range. Eventually all States will be encouraged to follow suit. As far as physical Firearm Confiscation that's not going to happen at least not for a long time.

I expect people who can reload ammo will be able to make some money by reloading lots of ammo in the most popular Cal. A firing Range would possibly supply a re-loader with a lot of spent Brass inexpensively compared to commercial sources. I don't think the Second Amendment will be abolished anytime soon but it will be a "cunt hair" away from being infringed upon.
