if you're gonna link youtube, do it right. this is how you do it:

I'm guilty of the same thing. When at the youtube site I want, I copy the URL and paste it and it comes out a single line that you click on but your way provides a picture which I agree looks better.
I can't determine from your response how you get the picture to appear. Please explain.

first you strip rGcQgssrZt0 from the link and delete the http link
copy rGcQgssrZt0
go to the advance editor
on to top of the editor menu
there are two youtube buttons, its located next to the private button
click on one of the buttons.
a text box window will appear
paste rGcQgssrZt0 in the text box and hit enter
the end result should look like this below link
[YOUTUBEHD]rGcQgssrZt0[/YOUTUBEHD]
or if you're feeling geeky, just type the bb code command; [youtubehd] at the begging of the youtube link, rGcQgssrZt0. type [/youtubehd] at the end of it.

It seems you only see the editor menu when you are quoting somebody. If you are starting from scratch like the op did and as I often do, you do not see the advanced editor buttons, you only see the Insert link button, Insert Image and wrap around buttons
Sometimes just pasting the link from the website doesn't work and I'm told my link didn't work when I paste it so I use the Insert link button and paste the link there but a picture still doesn't come up. I'll experiment now.

change your editor. you're prolly on basic editor.
go to user control, goto options. scroll down until you see editor. there a selection of editors to pick from. pick the last one.
on bb code youtube, you left out the slash. it has to be /youtube to close out the youtube bbcode.
