Agree in total. There are ample reasons to believe they knew each other. Like; can anyone seriously believe that the club owner would have a cop on payroll for 15+ years and not ask them to check out or observe other employees? Anyway, with any luck what-so-ever, the trial process will still include:

• presumption of innocence (yeah right! We got video!)
• discovery phase (the piece the city and club prefer to avoid)
• cross examination of witnesses and character witnesses (the juicy fun schtuff)
