Tear a $100 in half and give it to her with a note to return to you at midnight might change that...

The whole concept of that place offering overpriced ham and cheese sandwiches and booze makes no sense to me. I’m curious if there is more to it.

They are just trying to make some money and keep a few personell employed during this pandemic, none of which are dancers.

The problem is I'd have to leave my house and pass by every sandwich shop I enjoy to buy a ham sandwich from them, and literally pass by liquor stores to buy their overpriced liquor.

Since the building is likely paid for, they have no expenses if the club is closed and they don't have to pay employees. The dancers don't count as employees anyway, if I remember that correctly. Whatever money they can make off a sandwich and booze can't really offset the loss of liquor sales I would think.

Also, it's hard to imagine that a closed strip club selling sandwiches and booze instead is considered essential but maybe it fits?

I hope BDD uses this down time to replace the burned out/worn out TVs, carpet, and chairs. Fixing the bathrooms would be a good idea too. They should also rethink the concept of a club VIP. The club is close to a dive in its current form. I say close to because I've been to a lot worse but with the reputation the club has the upkeep is severely lacking.

Sadly it seems like a out of touch execution of a decent idea. If they had any understanding of marketing outside of the tile in The Observer they may actually have a good go at it.

Lets see if I have this correct. They should spend a shit load of money fixing up the place when they have no income coming in---- and then have the same basic number of guys coming in as before and spilling beer everywhere, puking on the floor, shooting their wad on the seats (or the dancer wiping her hands on whatever is available) and pissing on the bathroom floors like normal. Yep - sounds like an excellent business plan

Yes. That’s it.

They will never have another opportunity like this to do all that long overdue maintenance without closing the club. This is the perfect time.

I’m pretty sure they could get a loan of some kind to cover it. So the immediate cash impact would be minimal.

Agree the place needs a refurb but why would they do it? As much as guys complain, they're still going to go there because of the number and variety of girls. As long as you have the girls, you can get away with it.

LOL!!

Burch Management has PLENTY of money! They could deep clean up the clubs they own and there would be no excuse of them being open every day as far as why they could not do it.

You really miss the point Wile Y -- It doesn't matter how deep your pockets are if spending a shit load of money doesn't make you any more ROI then it doesn't make sense to do it. Now if they are soooooo bad they are starting to lose customers, then maybe they should do a little clean up. But that hasn't started yet. Still one of the best KNOWN places in Dallas

Just look at their sister club BDFW -- people been claiming that place was going belly up for years --- but it still nasty, has no privacy areas and still making money. Parking lot is full every weekend.

Maybe they are doing the SBA loan program. In order to qualify for the forgiveness part of that loan, you have to show that you kept your headcount (no pun) at near levels it was before the pandemic. So businesses are looking for ways to keep folks employed at least somewhat.

And, as a customer, it's not about the bad ham and cheese. It's about the estras...
