The writer actually did a good job of explaining incidental contact. But, a carrier is a carrier.
Oh pet the cute critter, not.

The basic controls of wash your hands, cover your face when you sneeze, etc. are still the best.
But, I know a group of folks that have gone to elbow taps instead of handshakes, they think amusing to do that, and it's a team building thing.
