I don't think in the basic discussion forums it's actually against the rules, but certainly frowned upon and as you not the sign of a poster with nothing to contribute trying to rehash very old discussions by bypassing everything that has taken place in between.

Post a new thread with a cogent and constructive discussion and reference the old thread if you wish.

But for many, and it's a hallmark of the left in particular, rehashing recycled bullshit is all they have.
