I gave Mr. Obama credit for not actively opposing fracking and understanding the value of fossil fuels.
The current non-capitalists in the Democrat Party are not as enlightened.
They care more about voting rights for jailed transgendered convicted felons than working men and women who pay the taxes that make free health care for Democrats behind bars possible.

Do you have any facts to back up that statement? Prices might be lower in S.A. than Austin but that does not mean they have not increased.
"Despite a growing U.S. economy where the unemployment rate is at its lowest level in decades and wage growth is good, a recent GOBankingRates survey found that many U.S. residents are struggling to afford basic necessities. The Consumer Price Index has risen by 2.5 percent on all goods, from housing to energy, in the past 12 months. And GoBankingRates reported San Antonio is among the 10 cities where the cost of living is rising the fastest."
Unfortunately Austin is also on the list. My income did not rise by 2.5% last year, meaning that in this wonderful Trump economy, I am losing purchasing power.

Instead of looking it up, you lie out your ass. You've lied about this several times.
The Dow was 7063 on Feb 27, 2009. It was 16065 on Mar. 14 2014.
Since those numbers haven't changed, the Dow more than doubled (as in over 100% or not NOTHING)
US Real GDP Growth Rate by Year Compared to Inflation and Unemployment
2009 -2.5
2010 2.6
2011 1.6
2012 2.2
2017 2.4
2018 2.9
Another example of a trumpy lie. And what good does it do to remember talking about something several times when you forget you were lying about easily checked numbers?

GDP growth during Obama's first term was negative at times and generally very low.
In the meantime, the Fed threw free money at Obama throughout his terms.
Bringing up Quayle is pretty desperate.

Hey munchy, if it's so easily checked then why did you lie about the comparison he made?
Gnad compared the Dow a year before odumbo's election with its level 5 years later.
On November 5, 2007 the Dow closed at 13,543. Five years later it closed at 13,112.
Now apologize to everyone for wasting our time due to your sloppy-drunk reading comprehension!

DPST's are desperate for a recession - they got nothing else except socialist nut cases to nominate.

a year BEFORE? are you fucking serious? Obama rescued the economy from the worst recession in History, that YOUR BOY Bush caused. the Dow started screaming higher less than 2 months after Obama was sworn in, after OBAMA made big changes. why do you spout such nonsense?

Cut the crap, will ya? It wasn't the "worst recession in History". And there is plenty of blame to go around for its cause(s). Only a partisan hack would blame it 100% on Bush.
You spout nonsense and depart from the facts every time you get upset about a post you disagree with. Instead of becoming all worked up and irrational, why don't you just calmly explain why you consider gnad's starting point for comparison of the stock market's performance under Obama to be arbitrary/unfair?

Bush was certainly not to blame for the recession. Maybe some blame but economic conditions, whether good or bad, depend on a multitude of factors other than the POTUS.
For example, if a country like Germany enters a recession, that will negatively affect the economy of the U.S.
