Fracking in West Texas is very safe and has not had a negative effect on water supply purity.
As you mentioned, it is clean and as the original poster noted, it has lowered the greenhouse gas emissions of the USA and will likely help us further reduce greenhouse gases.
Of course, greenhouse gases are the stuff of life, so limiting it so coastal elites don't get a few inches of rise in the sea level seems like a misguided goal.
