To better clarify. The Coed Forum in this area is toxic to anyone that reads the posts.
Being an outsider actually gives me a better viewpoint due to the fact that my judgement is not clouded by past history of interactions.
With that said. I do not care what the past history is between which members and which other competing websites that has evolved to the quagmire that we stand in today.
The point is, each and every person that posts in these forums are members of Eccie. Each one is expected to know and follow the guidelines as applicable when it comes to posting here.
One of the biggest issues is thread hijacks which ALWAYS turn into a mud slinging contest. This thread is a perfect example..
Again, partly my fault for not being quicker to respond to the issues with a hammer.
|
This thread was hijacked within the first 7 posts. But it was a threAD anyways. So there wasn’t a subject to discuss.

I says, "Pig Pen, this here's the Rubber Duck.

You are wrong sir, there was a subject to discuss. Hobby emails
Anyone wanna send their hobby email?
Zip me a DM with your hobby email or comment here.
How could this be misconstrued as no subject?

Well Dj, nobody did. Look at the first 7 posts. Not one of them shared an email. So according to your hijacking rules, anyone who replied to that thread should have included an email. Correct? Are you going to put the hammer on them? Where they being toxic? I don’t think they were. Because it was a threAD. And as you would say “ people can see it”. Maybe ECCIE should give you guidance on threADs. Because that’s what’s going to happen. You said so yourself. I have no clue how you’re going to enforce hijacking going forward. Good luck. But, by all means, put the hammer down.

Sorry Dj8, but I must disagree. This forum is quite tame and really the only time there are issues are when a couple posters who would like nothing more than to see the demise of this forum and ECCIE post and start threads - or in this case, threADs.
I don't visit many other cities on ECCIE, but just take a look at the Upset NY forum. If you think this is toxic, which to me is really an unfair criticism, I can't imagine how you would describe the Upset NY co-ed forum
And yes, sorry, we may disagree but IMO history is always relevant. On this thread alone, Jinni brought it up in a nice way in the second post. But let's call a spade a spade. When the OP pulled the same sky is falling, send me your email stunt at TOS, as well as her continuous threADs there, it led to her being banned there for some very good reasons. You don't have that history.
If you look at most threads on the first page of this forum, most are very tame. I just don't get how you can call them toxic. Sure, you have people that like to speak their mind and don't always care about being politically correct. Do some perhaps go over the top on occasion, sure - but allowing people to speak the truth and to come across as they do is much better in knowing and understanding someone. Shoot, the reason the ECCIE Pittsburgh site became so popular over the years with many hobbyists is because of that ability to speak and get the unvarnished truth - especially in reviews (which was never the case at TOS)
Now, if you were here 5 years ago and made the same comments, your observations would be more true. But not today.
Finally as to hijacking, sometimes a conversation naturally goes in different directions. That is often natural, not intentional hijacking. No one knows where a conversation may lead

You nailed it again. Read the Dallas co-ed forum. It’s far more rambunctious there. I guess people have thick skin in Texas. But a hooker board ain’t the Harvard, Yale, Princeton club to begin with. There going to be contentious discussions due to the nature of the hobby. The only posts here that I would consider toxic come from Tatts. But sometimes he’s even telling the truth.

UTR Ariel/Ariel Lee "fired on all cylinders" as a professional, well-liked provider. Always had a stable of clients. A couple times she casually mentioned to me "I have Exactly as many clients as I want." In fact she "let in" new clients whenever she wanted- it was not the other way around. Business came to her, she did not solicit business. She never posted a public ad in the years I read ASPD and Indys. Unusually professional as well. Quick response to texts- I could usually book a session the same week I inquired with her, sometimes at short notice. Very clean, cool incall. Always reasonable and likeable. And she Looked and Performed....Like.....A.....Po rn Star. All her clients thought she was Great....
Plenty of providers are well-liked. Some providers are of the "some like them/some don't" variety. Some of my ATF's were of the "Yeah- I saw her BCD. She is a poor performer" variety. And I thought they were Fantastic BCD. A lot of long-time hobbyists joke about the "chemistry" factor in the hobby, but in the hobby some people just "get along" well with certain individuals, and some people don't get along with the same individuals, right....?
It's hard to make an assessment of providers (individually and collectively) and their "financial prowess." I know providers who paid-off mortgages, spoiled their kids, paid for their own schooling, etc. Making a broad assessment of "most" providers is as tricky as making a broad financial assessment of "most" hobbyists. Many hobbyists are BROKE knuckleheads who try to "negotiate" and pitch clown "deals" with new girls. And many hobbyists just spend just their "disposable" income on the hobby. "It takes all kinds" in this hobby....
Remember Kendall/Tally? Looked like Denise Richards, Performed Like A Porn Star. When I saw her BCD in 2006 she told me directly "I am 20K in credit card debt because I was unemployed for years while dating a Pittsburgh Penguin. When I pay that off then I'm out of the hobby." And within 6 months that is exactly what happened. One of her regular clients told me she "set a goal" in the hobby, achieved that goal, and then decided to bolt-the-hobby. And a lot of reasonable providers stay in the hobby because the money is good.....
Again, "it takes all kinds" in the hobby. Hard to make an assessment of "all" or "most" providers just like it is hobbyists. I think many providers "get what they want" from the hobby, many come-out better as a result of the hobby. And many "crash and burn" like train-wrecks. And many (most, probably) are "in the middle of" the two extremes. Just like most hobbyists, actually....
If either UTR Ariel Lee and/or Kendall returned to the scene they would be Flooded with inquiries and they would Quickly line-up Exactly as much business as they wanted. That's pretty impressive, actually.....
There are girls on SA who "have as much business as they want" too. And many SA girls are Clueless. That's the New Frontier. SA: Pro Ho's, Clueless Newbies, HDH Hotties who want (and get) "above market" rates, FDH's (Feral Defensive Hoodrats) of the "street" variety. CMU computer-science majors making-cash on the side. (Seen one BCD.) Women paying off mortgages and spoiling their kids. Girls injecting all their cash into their arm. All like the hobby-proper, with less "centralization" and no public reviews and alert system. "It takes all kinds" in the hobby. "The more things change the more things stay the same....."
Since Indys lost all it's active posting-forums (Co Ed Vouched? Guys Room? Do they even exist anymore?) there has Not been an exodus of hobby-people posting on Eccie. Eccie is mostly the Same site it was 6 months and 1 and 2 years before Indys switched-up it's format. All the same dozen or so guys who have posted for years. Mostly the same providers posting on Eccie for years. Eccie is the same site that it was 1 and 2 and 5 years ago. Is it because Eccie guys are "harsh" or unwelcoming? Maybe, maybe not. Scores of PGH hobbyists stopped posting on Indys in the years just before their switch-up. Many moved on to SA and never looked back. Many people "come and go" from the hobby, like Ariel Lee and Kendall and countless providers and hobbyists. "The more things change the more things stay the same." "It take all kinds" in this weird sub-culture.....

@elle banks...Whoa wait a minute! Indy's was there for you? I must have missed something because in December you were calling my phone crying and talking mad shitt on Indy's & DG! You even helped write the rules and guidlines for the new community. You were one of the main ladies that was begging to start dirty games playground! And I still have the emails and texts to prove it. I just love when people try to get brand new and contradict themselves. Hoelarious! Thanks for the laugh.

Actually, ECCIE isn’t the same site as of a week ago. They eliminated provider ad forums and all showcases.

That said, I can see how an outsider could view things without fully knowing and understanding all of the Pittsburgh history, from the old ASPD days, to when TOS started up to compete with ASPD, to the ECCIE days when members here were looked at like second class citizens by a group of providers and others on TOS, other TOS shenanigans, to the owners of TOS blowing up the site and creating the ad based thing they have today and then some of those same people who looked down on ECCIE for years migrating here.
Now, that is not to say that every member / provider on TOS treated ECCIE members like second class citizens. There were some decent TOS members and providers who didn't trash ECCIE members - yet many did. There were providers who didn't like drama and were welcoming and there were others who thrived on drama and control, and still do. Some folks had membership at both sites but may have kept a low profile at one or the other, etc.
I guess what I am trying to say is there is a long and complicated history here in Pittsburgh and any outsider will have a tough time understanding it. People have long memories, especially when they have a reason to from past actions.
But if you have been a member here for a few years or more, it all makes perfect sense

It's all in the perception. I don't think there was much "controversy" in the Indys posting forums in the last 5 or so years before they recently switched up to the new format. Sure- there were personal "tiffs" in Co Ed Vouched. So? There have always been personal dust-ups on the boards. Every time I read assessments on Eccie about some of the more "controversial" aspects of the Indys forums I think "Well, I can think of Several events and circumstances on Indys much MORE curious and controversial than the Indys review system." The Indys review system was one of the Most Boring and Least-Controversial aspects of that site. Much more to reminisce and speculate about the old Indys than "But providers there could post comments on their own reviews! HEAVENS....!!!" :mfr_lo l:
I think Indys was always more "active" in the online posting-arena than Eccie is now and ever was. Many (most in fact) 2003/2004 era ASPD hobbyists of PGH moved to Indys in 2005 and 2006 and never posted again on ASPD or Eccie. Very few ASPD hobbyists like MCA9276 (a hobby friend of mine, and he "had a mind like a steel trap"- RIP) committed to never posting on Indys because of thoughts he had about the management (not just the format) of the site. I always told him he was "reading too much" into the situation, and he was missing some damn good reading on Indys, and assorted Scandals and Entertaining Events online and offline. He never got over his anti-Indys bias. And I always told him he missed-out on some damn good, damn-entertaining reading.....
I don't know if an active-posting-culture exists AT ALL in the PGH hobby anymore. Eccie is not the same as ASPD circa 2003/2004 or like Indys in the first several years up to the Cleveland GTG bust. No more GTG's and HH's on Indys effected the "community" aspect of the PGH and OH hobby. Scores of Indys and Eccie hobbyists bolted-for SA after that debuted. And it changed SA too. I was on SA way-before Indys hobbyists went there. Before all the PGH "hobbyists" got on SA it was a hell of a lot Easier to contact and do-business with SA girls. Now it's "too many gophers trying to get in one hole" with all the new girls there....
There is less "centralization" and even "organization" in the PGH hobby scene now that Indys lost it's posting forums (Co Ed Vouched? Guys Room? Do they even exist anymore?) and because Eccie still has all the same posters it has had for years. Many PGH hobbyists bolted for SA. Many PGH providers do business with "regular clients" only as a result of FOSTA. SA and FOSTA are probably the most relevant factors which have changed the whole PGH hobby scene since ASPD circa 2003/2004 and then the whole era of Indys from 2005 to the recent change-up. Both SA and FOSTA created "de-centralization" and added Fear And Loathing of LE, and some hobby-people can deal with that and many can't. The hobby always changes. SA and FOSTA are the change-agents which effected the whole online, PGH hobby-scene which flourished in both the ASPD and Indys era's......

When she posted I knew immediately who put her up to it. It was an Indy’s promotion post. Then Dj pats her on the back. And then she immediately comes back with a rude and insulting post. Just to show good faith!!!! Since skunks are toxic they fit right in here. Good to see someone else knew what she was up to, and who her accomplice was. Too obvious.

Evidence that FOSTA and the brand new Texas law have effected the online posting world, even as far away as PGH. Don't be surprised if Eccie suddenly disappears from online like ASPD did and then Eccie did a few years ago, before it went-up-online again. FOSTA is a PITA, no doubt about it. I used to think the PGH East-side Squirrel Hill tunnels were a PITA to deal with, and all that traffic around Greentree and Robinson. FOSTA is much more of a PITA to the local hobby than those PGH tunnels.....
So when is an enterprising hobby-genius going to create a new, online data-base hobby-site overseas, one that US LE can't govern and mess-around with? Servers overseas, billing overseas, just like many porn sites. FOSTA and the new Texas law is a PITA which is interfering with hobbyists Getting Laid and providers Getting Paid. This is offensive and unacceptable....!!! :roll1 :

Better yet, mods, can this entire thread be deleted since it has nothing to do with the topic? Apparently I am just posting promotions, and not one email was shared.
Just the same 3 people who cause every thread provoking actual discussion in Pittsburgh to be closed doing their thing.

You are talking about one day in December and still holding on to that? We were all shocked and confused that day. You invited me over for dinner, I tried to decline but you said you didn't think we should be alone. I had a nice time with you but when you flipped out on me a couple of days later because I refused to watch Staff edit. dj8, I blocked your number because something felt off and my senses served me well.
Your campaign of hate is something I wanted nothing to do with and I am sorry that angered you, I encourage you to share whatever emails and texts you have to prove whatever it is you think you have to prove.
It's sad to think you can't message a provider without fear of her using those messages against you 9 months later. Again, are we still wondering why the Pittsburgh boards are what they are? I didn't mention you, but here I am getting personally attacked. And you wonder why no one wants to be a part of whatever it is you did, come on.

CG, you were a bully from the start. We hung out ONE TIME and after that, I decided you were full or hate and anger and I didn't want to be around that. Sorry you're still upset about that.
Bambino, I do not know you but I can assure you, I only do what I want to do. I get no pats on the back. You are so out of touch, anyone actually participating in the hobby knows this. I can't express an opinion without you being so mean to me for no reason at all, sad.

If you needed a website to save you from depths and despair, I would say you are out of touch. I don’t know you. Which is why I was suprised that you chimed in to begin with. I didn’t reply to your rude and insulting post. Which makes you a hypocrite. And your last two posts makes it obvious why the hobby scene in Pittsburgh is fucked up. Who’s the “bully”? But hey, carry on.
