I agree with you. That’s definitely a problem, though mostly local, that needs to be addressed. Most suffer from mental illness. I’m all for helping them, especially our vets. We’re a rich enough country that we can do both, however our economy is that of an industrial military complex (see Eisenhower’s warning about that). We can't do both efficiently enough. During the latter part of the 1800 hundreds and the beginning of the 1900 hundreds America had a huge influx of Immigrants coming to America from Europe. If you remember your history their first stop was Ellis Island. There they were initiated into the Immigration process before proceeding on to New York City. We need something like Ellis Island on the Mexican American Border if at all possible otherwise the immigration problems we currently have will continue to persist. These problems cannot be solved or managed without a system in place and we don't have a system to properly deal with immigration or homelessness and without a doubt some of our undocumented Immigrants are homeless.

They create their own homelessness by leaving their homes and walking across the desert.
We shouldn't allow anyone to become a citizen who becomes a "public charge" and therefore a burden to our country.
We need rich people and pretty women. All others need not risk their lives crossing the desert.
Plus, anyone leaving their country to come here and is seeking asylum must publicly admit their country is a shithole.

This is incorrect. 127 projects (including new schools for military families children) have been put on hold. There is no border crisis. That’s fear mongering from Trump. There IS an immigration crisis though. A wall doesn’t solve that. Use that money to help those families fleeing violence and oppression. That’s America to me. It is "correct". Trump managed to plus up DOD's budget significantly before shifting a small fraction of those funds towards building a wall.
