Every ATM has the history of what ATM users (yes cash back is an ATM function) users have asked for. Sooooo, of course that's what the armored truck staff loads into the machines.
So yeah at Walmart folks just wanting a bit of pocket paper, yeah 10s, etc.
And for ATM's at a bank, if it's that banks client, the client history can also be used (to skip around the machine asking which presidents) to just issue the greenish coupons guys use at a candy store. A whole new set of machines came out about two years ago that are really slick for the options for clients. They can even machine read deposited checks and get funds clearance the next day. It's all about an enjoyable client experience.
