.....your "board personality type".

What I mean is if you have a potential client from here or you find out his handle on here, if you search his posts, what "type" do you tend to get excited about seeing? Does that even happen? Do you really search their posts to see what they are like?

There are a few ladies I have seen strictly based on the way she posted. I really enjoyed her personality on the board and turned put she is just like that in person.

Are there those that really stimulate your mind through their posts and when you met them in person, they were not like that at all. I don't really get that.... I know it happens. I am exactly like I am on here so I don't really relate to being different online. Then again I'm single with hardly any concerns about somebody finding out I do "this".

I think mine is very much like me. At least, I don't try to simulate a different personality from my own. Perhaps my board persona is a bit more... patient, than I am, but that's just because I can vent all I want verbally and all y'all can see is what I actually end up typing and submitting. :P

And it's easier to sound smarter when you have time to really think things through. That might be why you saw such a difference in mental stimulation in some people. I may be guilty of that. Haha.

Every time I see somebody with a similar sense of humor it does get me a little excited to meet that person. I love to laugh. If a guys' funny comments make me actually lol then I know we will probably click.

On the other hand, I have turned some down for their apparent lack of morals and rude attitude on the boards. That may just be an on-line persona, but I personally don't want to risk it to find out the truth. It's just a safety issue in my eyes.

That just means you like the ones that speak their mind, don't pull punches. Look at the ladies you like....

I'd say they fit that description too.

That is true but not really.

SNL is very quiet and flirty for example and we're really close friends. London is the total opposite and I heart her. I know these ladies off the board and they're good hearted people. I don't like negative people that is for damn sure.

I love a sense of humor...keep the "dry" humor though. I like people who are not afraid to express themselves and be who they are even on a SHMB. I find I don't get along well with those who continually try so hard to be something or someone they are not on here, yet in their personal lives they are a total mess lol.

I find everything a person says or does not say, tells a bit about the one behind the keyboard. I also find the people who are the most harsh and outspoken around here, also tend to be the most opposite upon meeting them. They are generally the teddy bear guys, and oh so considerate unlike their online persona.

Free spirits, great wit, country boys, and intellect are my main choice...great writers are just an added bonus. If someone cannot make me laugh and can't joke around, we are not going to get along past the first 5 mintues...my personality is always the life of the party unless I am in a professional setting. Even then, my humor will still come out but at a more reserved level.
