Another reason we have the Military is so you're not speaking German or Russian instead of English. It's not a nice world out there, but we are insulated from the really bad stuff. All we have to worry about is Trolls, Politics and the little stuff that really doesn't matter.

I served and feel good about it. Our neighborhood places American Flags in our yards on appropriate Holidays. A good neighbor places yellow ribbons on all of the Veterans flag poles. I'm proud to have that yellow ribbon on my flagpole.

Not saying I'm any kind of hero, but I feel good about serving.

I'm the son of a Vietnam veteran and even he thinks serving was bullshit. For many reasons.

The last honorable war Americans fought in, where our freedoms were in actual potential danger, was WW2.
