Safe to play in Juarez?

Hi folks, middle aged Gringo here. I've been hearing there's been a surge in violence in J-Town and that it might not be best for us light skinned folks to be over there. Any truth to that?

I know J-town might not be safe, but just be in and out about your business. I don't spend unnecessary time. I go get service and drive my butt back to EP.

Just got back from spending the weekend in Cd. Juárez. Spent Friday and Saturday night in the Hotel Lucerna. Walked around the area 9 am to noon Sat. Morning w/o any problem.
Everyone seemed to be minding their own business. Didn't go outside the hotel at night, though.

I was there last spring, no problems whatsoever. Started at the Kentucky club and went from there. Keep your eyes open. Facebook has some Uber groups for Juarez, I was able to ahead of time strike u p a nice relationship with someone that ended up being a tour guide for us for a couple of days.
