I don't engage with stupid people and can usually tell what sector they are on right away in the first PM.

What's not to get?
Don't give out your phone # or pics until you finally MEET the person and trust is established.

Hopefully, newbies are paying attention so as to safely get to the point of actually MEETING someone with proper protocols.

Also, with enough research and advice from IT people .... you learn that secretive communication IS POSSIBLE
Big brother is not going to issue a search warrant on an off shore server. They've got bigger fish to fry here in the U.S.

In general, you're absolutely correct. I take some precautions when communicating from my computer to keep that separate from my phone. It's the reason I still don't have a burner phone. If I had one, I might be tempted to log in to ECCIE and use it for everything. As it is now, a third party could not connect my computer activity to my phone activity (at least not with any certainty).

But you're absolutely right, any mention of services for money puts you at risk.
