To avoid a paper or e-world trail: Maybe cash gift cards. Perhaps a provider would accept gift cards to a specific store by prearrangement.
But in the end, nothing beats a stack of hundred dollar bills.

This is good! Read it again everyone.
What if you go to the door expecting a great looking lady for the first meeting and what opens the door
is a smelly, drunk, fat, dirty and etc. woman - but you are not sure. Get the idea, she was not like her pictures.
Time to run, but you know someone else will raise hell when you try to get the hell out. Well you didn't send her manager something on line - so they don't have your money yet.
The recommendation is to give her a couple of 20's or a 50 at the door, do not go in, so she has her attention diverted: then run like hell before he comes out of the woodwork. You are still money ahead and you bought a few seconds of getaway time.
No, I have never done this: but I had one experience when I should have. It would have been cheaper and a better time than going in for a visit in hell. Why did I stay to visit an ugly drunk and then have to run home and shower?
The guy's response in this thread is really about playing safe. Send money ahead of time - no way!
