Infraction - copy and change

Hi ...
this really isn't a complaint on my part , more just curiousity.


Is it allowed to quote someone in a thread and then go into their post and change the wording?


This was recently done to one of my posts here:

It bothers me a little bit as the first impression I got was that he was calling me a gold digger .... but after reading what he wrote afterward I think was more reflective on his behavior?
Not really sure.


Anyways ..... just thought I would bring it up ....

Yes. Anything you post can and will be used against you in a thread court of trolls....

If you feel insulted, rtm the post.

It happens all the time on the site.

Sometime it may be in bad taste depending on what is replaced, but it doesn't violate any guidelines unless it involves minors, drugs, etc.

If you feel it violates a guideline, rtm the post and we will look into it.

You can find thousands of examples on the board where a guy and/or a lady has edited someone's post. Normally they will have changed the font to red to show off to the rest of the board how smart they think they are while gloating in their own little universe in ther parents basement or hotel room.
