Facebook doesn't really believe in free speech. What they believe in (and actively practice) is censorship

looks like facebook is engaged in anti-competitive behavior.
a poster in the comments section raises a good point about their business model.

I can make a solid argument that the 1st amendment protects all speech, liberal or otherwise, and that a corporation in America has zero right to censure it.
Anti-trust laws apply. Facebook and others have essentially become "granted monopolies" by getting special allowances from the FCC and the US govt. They offered *free service, with no speech restrictions, lured in hundreds of millions of users into dependence on the service, then used the service to control free speech. That is called "dumping", offering a service at under cost in order to seize a market. Illegal as can be.
The FCC needs to pull the plug on most of the protections that Facebook and Twitter have, lower the boom on them for taxes as well.
Last: why the heck are you all using Facebook anyhow? If it is to connect to hard liberal family members, you are already fighting a losing cause and should consider moving your content to a Facebook competitor who does not control your free expression. When all conservatives move out, Facebook will take notice. Especially if you remove your commerce and advertising as well. Do it on July 4th. Post the Declaration, then cut your account activity for two weeks. See Z squeal.
