Ha! According to CNN the world has ended.
Which it will if we don't develop relationships with countries that have NUKES!!!! ***eyeroll***
The dems want Trump to fail so badly they are willing to do anything to discredit him. Sad.

Treason? I don't think so but Trump had the opportunity, on a worldwide stage, to stand up for his country and he threw people under the bus instead. Quite a guy.

The dems???? Everybody, Republican, Democrat, Independent, or no political affiliation has come out and said Trump acted inappropriately in his Helsinki news conference. CNN yes. FOX news too. Then he reads a completely scripted response saying that he used "would" instead of "wouldn't" and expects everyone to believe him.
Come on. Even you must admit the lunacy of his actions in this case. No, the world has not ended but Trump keeps opening his mouth and putting his foot into it on an almost daily basis. I've lived a long time and NEVER have I heard a POTUS make more idiotic statements and claims than Trump. Not even close.
So what if Russia has nukes? We do not need tight relationships with Russia in order to survive. It would be nice if we did but no political leader in this country should kiss Putin's ass like Trump did.
Once again I remind you that you do not want to discuss political issues but simply want to anoint Trump as God-in-Chief.
You have never responded to my post #168. Again, Trump's accomplishments in 18 months in office, with a Republican Congress, have been minimal and when you posted your opinion as to his "accomplishments" I countered each one with facts.
When I counter your statement that "It's over for the Dems. They don't have a platform to win except to get rid of ICE and Trump" in post #174, no response other than to focus on ICE. No comments on the other FACTS in my post.
So are we going to discuss politics or are you simply going to tell us what a great job Trump is doing with little to back it up?

Ok so here is post 168. Where is the question? I gave you what I thought were Trumps accomplishments-- you disagree- and I disagree with your assessment of each question that you disagree with. And with all that disagreement - I just ordered a Mexican Martini with my meal.

A Supreme Court justice was going to be named. Was Gorsuch the best choice for our country? I don't know. This is NOT an accomplishment, nor is the naming of 75 other federal judges. It was part of Trump's job that anyone could have done.
• Issued an order killing two federal regulations for every new one. In actuality, 16 were cut for every new one in his first year, saving billions.
Again, it is a matter of opinion whether or not the federal regulations enacted/killed were good or bad for our country.
• Withdrew the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement, ending the threat of U.S. governance by international bureaucrats.
Terrible decision in the eyes of most Americans. Myself included.
• Presided over an economic and stock market boom, lowered unemployment and brought manufacturing jobs back to America from overseas.
Trump came into office with the economy in excellent shape due in part to Obama. That economic success has continued under Trump. The stock market BOOM is over. In 6 months this year the DJIA is DOWN. And have you read predictions on how many jobs will be lost once Trump's tariff's go through? Estimates are in the hundreds of thousands. And very few jobs have returned to the U.S. from overseas.
• Imposed sanction on Venezuela’s socialist dictatorship and revising Mr. Obama’s deals with communist Cuba.
Not a big deal to most people in this country. I personally would like to see relations with Cuba improved and I doubt Trump will do that.
• Recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and repairing damage that Mr. Obama did to the U.S.-Israel relationship.
Absolutely terrible decision in my opinion and in the opinion of most Americans, including many in Trump's cabinet.
• Rebuilt the nation’s military, destroyed ISIS and faced down North Korea’s “Rocket Man.”
Do you really think ISIS is dead? If you do I have a bridge in Brooklyn I want to sell you. I do agree that Trump has focused more on the military than past presidents. As far as "faced down North Korea's "Rocket Man" it is yet to be seen how effective Trump's meeting with him will be. So far, nothing
I do appreciate your attempt to highlight Trump's "accomplishments". However, as you can see, most of your points are debatable as to whether or not they are positive or negative.

Fine. I gave you detailed reasons as to exactly why I disagreed with you. The only point I was vague about was his roll-back on federal regulations. My guess is that you simply copied-and-pasted the Trump list of "accomplishments" and have absolutely no idea what federal regulations have been rolled back via Executive Order. You talk about ICE jobs being lost if ICE is done away with, which is a lie, but by slashing the budget of the EPA more than 700 jobs were lost. Most of Trump's EOs concerning the environment will definitely hurt, it's just to what extent they will hurt and to whom they are important. My step-daughter works for the Department of the Interior in Colorado and she could go on for days on her disagreements with Trump's EOs on the environment.
Other than that one:
Why was naming Gorsuch an "accomplishment"? First, his nomination was only approved after the "nuclear option" was imposed. Once that was done, his approval was a fait accompli. No one was surprised and thus hardly an accomplishment.
Why do you think dropping out of the Paris Accord was an "accomplishment"? Most scientists in this country and around the world consider it a huge mistake.
The economy under Trump. You have nothing to say about the possible negative impact of tariffs on this country? What about the economy in 2018? Stock markets stagnant. Unemployment levels stagnant. No increase in income levels. I guess your mantra is "Remember 2017!".
Why do you support the relocation of the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem? Most believe it will do irreparable harm to negotiating peace between Palestinians and Israel. There is a reason why former presidents like Bush and Obama decided to not move the embassy.
This is how most discussions go. You presented your side, I countered, and you remain silence with absolutely no defense of your original statements. So be it. Don't ask for political discussions if your sole purpose is simply to tell us how wonderful Trump is.

Forget it, SpeedRacerXXX. I dont know why you bother arguing with Ellen. She is clearly delusional as all fuck. She's swallowed so much of Trump's Kool-Aid cum that I bet she's made out of the shit at this point.
There is no reasoning with a Trump supporter. He could eat a live baby on television, and they'd probably say the baby deserved it. It doesnt matter how much he lies, commits treason, damages the country. Trump supporters are all, themselves, disingenuous liars, cowards, traitors, racists, and fascists. They LIKE that he's tearing down rule-of-law and freedom of speech. They LIKE his racist dog-whistle language, because they are racist. These people are no different than Nazis. They're using foreigners as their scapegoat to tear down society and replace it with a fascist one of their design.

I've already covered all this Speedracer but let's take the climate issue. Most Americans don't give a flying fuck about the Paris Accord. Why?????? Because they are worried about how they are going to be able to cover a $500 emergency should it occur. Or they are more worried about how to pay next month's electric bill. Trump gets this.
I tell you what. This thread was - Politics anyone? The first sentence I said was -- I'm Austin Ellen and I am on Team Trump so hell yes I'm for Trump.
If you want some deep thinkers - which I'll tell you up front- I am not - then go to the National section - they are really - and I mean really good over there. I've answered your questions but you just don't like my answers. So be it.
Good luck.

I have now doubt in my mind, Ellen, that you do, indeed, possess the memory and intelligence of a fish. Explains a lot about Trump supporters in general, actually.

So if you are not going to discuss politics when you post "Politics anyone" maybe you should stop posting on the subject. You like Trump. We all get it.
Most Americans don't give a fuck about the Paris Accord? Why did you include it on "your" list of Trump's accomplishments then. I could say the same thing about your priority of support for the military. In a poll of policy priorities among Americans in The Washington Post, climate change and the military drew minimal but equal priority. Terrorism, education, and the economy were the top 3. The military and climate change ranked 17th.
It is obvious the list you included in your post on Trump's accomplishments did not come from you. You simply copied and pasted some other person's information and you are clueless as to the meaning or content of the bullets.
You are right about 1 thing -- the national section has far more astute people than the Austin forum and I'm sure you like it because of there being more Conservatives on it.
And please, you did not answer my questions.
If you decide to stop debating politics, even though in reality you never started, and simply post on other subjects, it's been fun.

Well, CNN finally published something I've been interested in since starting this thread. A look at the top dems for President. Yes, it's still early and things can change but here is what they got.
So you all might want to brace yourselves - it's not good. And I'm totally convinced they won't win in 2020.

You are too unsophisticated to understand Trump. He is diverting your attention whilst he accomplishes his goal of making America great again.
It is too complicated for you to comprehende, amigo.

As much as I don't like Trump...
If this was the actual rank of candidates then it is very clear who the powers that be are throwing their weight behind.
Biden has the most appeal
Sanders will have the biggest draw
Harris and Booker have youth and VP appeal.
If I were predict...
Dems take back the Senate, gain in the House. Trump wins re-election by a small majority.

Pretty much the list I gave everyone elsewhere. No surprises other than maybe Sanders being lower in the list than in most other lists of potential candidates.
You don't think a Democrat will win in 2020? ROTFLMAO. No shit!! You've been telling everyone since Trump was elected that he will win again in 2020. Still can't tell us what Trump has accomplished in 18 months in office but let's not go there yet again.
Again I'll say it's much too early to think about 2020. The elections in November will tell us where people stand on Trump's presidency thus far. If Democrats take control of the House it will show that voters are rallying against Trump. If they take control of the Senate despite overwhelming against that happening, Trump is in dire trouble.
