A ban on pedestrian bridges is needed
Before you lefties say one stupid thing after another;
This is satire
This is five hours after the event happened which is better than the two hours after the high school shooting that the gun control people waited.
A bridge kills people at a university. Something must be done. We could look at building standards, code violations, and even alternatives like an underground tunnel to get to the other side of the highway but the easy and cheap solution (though not really useful) is to ban foot bridges. They're just too dangerous to be allowed on campus or even near a campus.
What say ye?

No pedestrian bridge should be built for more than 10 people.

when I saw the title "a ban on pedestrian bridges needed", I thought some yahoo must've committed suicide by jumping off a bridge. so hence the reason for the ban.

Are you trying to imply through satire that there should be no changes on these type bridges?
I see where Trump is calling for the Death Penalty on drug dealers? Drug Dealers do not kill people , drugs do.
Funny how we pick and choose what will and will not impose any restrictions on.
Think about that.

This is a classic example of tragedies that happen and the government failing to do something that possibly could have prevented it before it happened. Additionally it proves that the government is not the answer to everything especially when they do such a poor job at almost everything they touch, with a few exceptions.
There will be a full investigation that will show human error and or failure of inspectors to identify they issues prior to approving the installation. I will guess that the contractor failed to use the specified materials in the construction and or bought materials that were not what they were represented to be. It will be interesting to learn what the cuase of the failure actually was.

With no government intervention, business can then continue with shoddy construction.
We have a 2nd Amendment right to bridges , shoddy or otherwise and the government should leave well enough alone!
