There are REALISTIC examples. Look at the accusations made of President Trump by the so-called (self-appointed) pundits on the Pro-Hillary media regarding his mental stability with people who actually have a medical degree analyzing him LONG DISTANCE ..

Anybody who puts on a "mental health" requirement for firearms possession should not be in office.

Using leftist logic, anyone who is illiterate, who can't read and write in English, who has had some injury that interferes with their cognitive ability should be stripped of their civil rights without due process. If you can take away 2nd amendment protections why not fourth or fifth amendment protections? One amendment is the same as another.
