Word is that the fake dossier was dressed up by the FBI and used, at least in part, to obtain a warrant from a FISA court to spy on the Trump campaign. This has not been confirmed, but as Jim Jordan said - if it's true, it's as wrong as wrong can be.

Remember the Watergate break-in? Spying on your political opposition in the middle of a Presidential campaign is precisely what precipitated the whole scandal!
