HR 1865, Bob Goodlatte and Section 230

HR 1865 is looking likely to pass. Bipartisan support.

Section 230 will likely be amended. See: Business Insider, Markets Insider Sept. 11th, 2017 "Google appears to be manipulating it's search engine results to defend internet law that enables sex trafficking, consumer watchdog finds".

Bob Goodlatte wants to add onto HR 1865 a provision that would sentence any digital media site hosting as such 25 yrs. Federal Prison sentencing guidelines.

The same Bob Goodlatte who also wanted to pass legislation that would prevent any member of congress protection from reporting of any wrongdoing investigation in the media. That did not happen, and Goodlatte will retire once his tenure is finished.

This is one of the reasons why BP is only allowing phone numbers on the Women seeking Men column. It has strong bipartisan support and it is half way thru becoming law.
