Blocked numbers

In an effort to not have to up-keep a burner phone (activation fees and minutes for one or two dates and then your burner usage expires) or a smart phone app that if not meticulously monitored will expose you to family sharing.

PM, email, and blocked numbers is the only thing going, I'll gladly give up the convenience of texting to not have to expose real life caller id or to buy a burner activation.

Email, while a hassle it is also the most private form of communication out there

I see "will not accept blocked numbers" on ads all the time--if I email you that I am going to call at 8pm with a blocked number that should solve the problem

imo, if you can afford to hobby you can afford a decent hobby phone and if you want extra phone security use a burner phone for initial contacts and give the providers you trust you true hobby number.

Nothing is ever totally secure, so pay attention to security in all your communications.

Emails can be hacked, of course.
