"everybody gets a trophy" generation. - This is a common generational issue. Especially for older types who are not bigots and might have a cool factor that doesn't involve a ubiquitous beard or an Amish hat. Just how it is.

In the big scheme of it all, when we log off, no one cares. A very large truth. Except the florists. They're happy when anybody signs out.

I very much agree with the OP.

While I have been striving for self-improvement I have watched this board digress further and further from its original purpose and turn into a very malevolent place to be a part of.

I just wish everyone would treat one another with mutual respect as human beings, and while you have a right to disagree...I wish people would do so without the bashing and insults. Try to see things through other people's eyes and be open minded to things other people have to say before rushing to a preconceived judgment. I wish people that had no experience about a subject would decline from spreading their opinions because they are assumptions, not facts.

I just wish everybody would treat others as they themselves would like to be treated and it would be a much nicer place for everyone.

And then I woke up...this can't ever happen because Johnny is right, it's gone too damn far to be turned back now.
