Let me give you an example of Corporate welfare.That effects me. I own a company. I have to pay taxes on everything I own and all the merchandise and supplies I have on the shelves. If a corporation wants to open a place next door they negotiate with the city to not have the pay property tax for a certain term. like 10 years or so. When the time is up, they renegotiate the terms. I know you enjoy jumping in on all the threads that spiral down into name calling, but leave the thinking to the rest of us.

I guess what the analysis leaves out is the millions of people employed by these Corporations.

There should be a balance between what has become "Corporate Greed" and Polititians demagoguing voters on the lower end of the economic ladder just to buy votes.

The corporate welfare is supposed to be helping us all. I bet it helps the upper management and shareholders the most. I think very few middle and lower employees see any benefit from it. And the consumers would see very little as well.
Those( politicians) that push Corporate Welfare are going after voters at the top just as they do for the lower spectrum .

I always laugh when people make "Big Oil" and Corporations out to be villains. If you have a diversified 401K you are probable an owner in most if not all of these companies.

Just like when people bitched about BP paying a dividend! Not paying it did not hurt BP. It hurt all the share holders AKA OWNERS. Some of whom were probably going to use it for living expenses, collage tuition, food.

Don't play the poor little child that got his hand slapped. You was a smart ass to me so I was one right back. Yes I own a company. No it is not a major corporation. And If you think all companies can negotiate the property tax system them you need to bow out of the conversation. Do I have a tax attorney help me keep the cost down yes. Do I get a break as in no taxes for 10 years no. Unless you are a heavy hitter and can leverage yourself by building just over the city or county line, You are not gonna get much help from the city. Now I do know who to have a lunch meeting with and how much to leave in a envelope on the table when needing a permit or CO approved. I prefer to be straight up in business though. I do not even know who "snichfuck" is but if you are so sure I do not own my own business, I bet we can figure out a wager worth my trouble.
