Somewhere along the line factual news reporting has been replaced by news "Commentary". You get 5 seconds of news with a 10 minute side dish of opinion driven by emotional speculation.

Every damn "news" channel is loaded with "experts" that are driven by their own ego, hoping beyond hope that they are correct in their opinions so they can claim the "I told you so" award of the day.

They think being right adds to their "credibility". Maybe so. But when they're wrong we're brought back to the reality that it's just another bullshit opinion.
