Default Any advice or personal experience with poodles?

Thinking about getting either a poodle. If not that, either a border collie or Australian shepherd. Any personal experience with any of these breeds?

Australian Shepherd is by far the best of the 3. Low maintenance little health issues. Smart athletic.

Poodles are all over the page. Some are great others can be snippy and moody. More health issues.

I can agree with Splitlog.
The Australian Shepherd is very very intelligent, their agility is off the chart, protective, the most loyal type of breed i ever had.
However, if you dont cut their hair low, they shed like crazy.

(My understanding Poodles dont shed)

Do you mean a standard poodle or a miniature poodle?

I want a German shepherd and found a good breed here in mid Arkansas.
Depending on if you want depends on cost., I want a male for non breeding., they quoted me $500..they are three week old now.
If anyone wants the info on these pure breed german shepherd's let me know and I'll give you their phone no.
And if anyone would like to gift me one I would surely be grateful.
