Hey guys, i need help. Detective just knocked on my door and asked me tons of questions. This was about 1-2 years ago when i was not using a burner. Apparently the prostitute was busted and they have my phone logs/conversation. I did not say much, but i told them i want to consult a lawyer. They said its up to the DA if they want to charge the Johns, and is looking at 1-2 years sentencing/misdemeanor.

Escorts shouldn't keep clients names and conversation in the phones or computer.No reason for escorts to keep all that information.See what happen when it fall into wrong hands.I delete everything after sessions.Buner phone don't have your name and address.Buy minutes.Don't tell detective nothing.Detective trying to scared you into incriminating yourself.Hire attorney. Precisely. The bit about it being at the option of the DA is to tempt you into trying to say something to defend yourself, and the bit about the possible sentence is to scare you. The people who get investigated further are the ones who try to defend themselves and the ones who immediately clam up. The former, however, are the ones who get convicted.

One way to play this situation is to act shocked like you have no clue why your phone # would be in her phone records. But take care with this angle; Sgt. Pigg is trained to spot a lie and he will immediately try to weasel more out of you. If you are not icy cool, just STFU.

Why would you answer the door for someone you aren't expecting? You don't have to answer and they aren't going to get a warrant to arrest or break down your door based on a phone number in a phone from 1-2 years ago.

There is nothing illegal about making a phone call or texting someone.

They were just fishing, trying to intimidate you into saying something to incriminate yourself. Don't do it. There are a dozen reasons your number might be on a hookers phone, none of them illegal.

Get an attorney! Local would be best.

Direct all LE questions to your mouthpiece. He is trained to respond properly. You are not.

I wouldn't have anymore contact with them unless you're under a subpoena. It's normal to feel a bit nervous but I think you'll be just fine.
