Condom fit and sensitivity

The comment below caught my eye and I didn't want to respond in that thread because it would have been a hijack.

I don't like condoms (who does?). It's difficult for me to finish when wearing one. But I have always assumed the tighter the fit the more it would transmit sensations. Is this wrong? Should I be looking to loosen up a bit for the best experience?

When I was in the Army, it was understood that a looser-fitting parachute harness would really enhance your sensation of falling out of the sky to your death..... but it wasn't really an option.

I never cared for them, but these are the times in which we live.

My issue is that despite being an average Irishman, I have yet to find one that didn't have the effect of a rolling pin in the application.
