Be Careful with Government Issued ID's
Just a heads up that todays modern drivers licenses etc are available to law enforcement without a warrant so when you provide even a picture only they can use your pic in facial recognition software to find your identity. You're out there more than you know. You should be able to use a picture ID not issued by the government for most verification like school or other ID's. They arent in the governments purview.

You mean to be 'verified' by particular websites we list on? It would seem if they out us then they'd be cutting off their own reason for existing.
The whole face recognition software is a scary thing for sure. I'm not sure how it works but with all the IT clients I see, makes me wonder what they are investigating.

You consent to your face being in a database when you get a drivers license or passprt. Most people dont read the fine print.
Facial recognition is becoming huge in law enforcement and they don't need a warrant. If I don't know who has my license info Im certainly not giving it to them.

So, you seem to think that the purpose for having the police is to remove crime from our city. But, there will always be crime. So, the purpose of having the police is not to remove crime but to maintain order in our society. Think of it as a military force that maintains order and the Status quo for the social issues of the society.

"Maintains order in society"?" Please. They are a military force that violates your rectum because they are thugs with badges. They will kill you in cold blood if you give them an excuse. Al Capone was better at maintaining order in society.

Thanks for the tip, makes me wish I still had my student ID from X years ago. Not that I would give my ID to any lady, but when I was a kid terrorism was something foreign radicals did, not a sanctioned activity of American governmental agencies with access to government databases.

If it's a State owned school it goes into the same data base. The facial rec, software available today has some serious kinks. At least the ones I have heard about.

Really? Lisences and ID cards?
40 years doing this and I have never shown my ID a single time. And never will. At least not until we know each other VERY well--well enough to fly off for a weekend together somewhere.
Do people actually do that? Very scary.

A quick point of clarification, with facial recognition any photo, regardless of origin can be compared across multiple image sources. So, if they have your college ID photo or a photo of you from Ben Dovers exotic porn emporium, and run it across their system, a resulting match could be returned.
Just saying

We are seeing ads asking to have you send a picture as some kind of security protective thing but just as this thread is mentioning, you send a picture and you are identified very easily and if the rumor is true hundreds of guys in Texas, have had arrest warrants issued ? Scary is a mild word !!
