2. Sometimes hotel parking is not on site, but down the street. That's typically not on the website.
3. Sometimes specific hotel info is not provided until I'm already in route, meaning hotel research will be limited or not possible.
4. Non-parking issues (where the elevators are, are the side doors unlocked, etc.) are not necessarily on the hotel webpage.

Bottom line, the more info the provider can give to prepare the client, the better.

Valid points. I prebook so I don't have that issue.
One note, the days of using side doors are over, unless you actually have a card key.
If they don't have cameras on them yet, coming soon. That equipment is inexpensive nowadays and insurance cos are insisting. Front desk simply knows when doors open, and unless a card key, will assume correctly whats going on.
So do the business person walk through lobby.
But you've just shorted the script for the how-to demo and that part had a lot if humour.

That may be in the big city of KC, but us country folk out here in COMO don't necessarily have all the luxuries and conveniences of the big city. My last appointment in COMO (within the last several weeks or so) to a 3 star hotel was via an unlocked side door.

I must be lucky because I've only used side doors for over a year now...

The providers I hope share this information in their ladies room on here because it is so much safer using hotels with the side doors. I have literally seen no one coming and going - me likey!

....whiiiiiiich would make you the one who stands out.

There's an art to looking like you belong there and being able to navigate a lobby or garage.

I hear you, matter of perspective I guess...

I haven't crossed paths with anyone to even stand out...

Art or no art - several times a day having men walk in and out of the lobby might just get the staffers wondering what men are doing there for one hour over several times a day - but I could be wrong...

In the end, whatever works best for someone is the way they should go as long as they aren't drawing attention to the task at hand - I just think the side doors are less conspicuous so its my preferred method of entry...

How does using a side door make you stand out? When I stay at a hotel (not hobbying), I use the door closest to my room, which many times is not the main entrance. During the day, when no card key is required, you just walk in and out. Seems to me the less you see staff, and the less they see you the better.

I do not have a problem with paying for parking. I would however, like to know in advance of the parking situation so that I know what to expect. I usually don't carry much cash. The first time this happened to me I found myself searching my car to come up with the funds to pay for the parking. The last thing I want to do is to have to use a credit card. So with a heads up, everything would be fine with me.

Exactly. And a variation on this theme is applicable to the gals.

You're correct.
But contrast your comments with situations where these non-lobby doors are fire exits, or not usually used for access, folks are coming down the stairwells to let guests in, etc. These situations will draw staff attention. I would think it rare nowadays that these doors do not have sensors (if card keyed that's the sensor). Frankly everytime a card is used that's time stamped into the building systems. And new cameras are going in every day. Last, never ever leave one of these doors wedged open. Of all things to annoy staff quickly, this is one of the biggest, as it breaks a most basic security rule.

Agree, and as I mentioned above, a gal that does provide a heads up on this and other access items, is proving she has good tcb in advance. Does not good tcb enhance bcd? And also enhance probability of another date?

What I'm referring to is where the door is left unlocked and is used as normal entry/exit into the building as an option to the main lobby. I've never visited a provider where she came down to open the door to let me in the side. The situations I'm referring to are where the door is unlocked, not propped open with the card reader not needed (many of the hotels I visit don't lock these doors until dark). I see your point if its not a normal point of entry/exit in which case I do the lobby to the elevator walk. But when the staff intentionally unlocks the side doors I assume they expect guests to be in and out all day through those doors.

I agree that TCB skills are very important, thus as much info she can provide about access is a big plus IMHO. In fact, TCB skills are more important to me thanBCD skills. A 2.5hr drive for a NCNS is worse than a bad BJ.

To go back to Nikki's original question, I think she was wanting to know whether paying for parking was of such a concern that she should give it considerable consideration when choosing where to stay. I think the consensus is, it is not something that will affect those who want to see her. It does seem to be, however, something to be disclosed during pre-appointment discussions. The fact that Nikki was so conscientious about the issue to ask about it, I have no doubt that she would make it know prior to the appointment.

Staff pay attention to people for two reasons:
1. They're trained to and expected to as part of their jobs. They're looking for anything unusual- like guys with Viagra-tent-pole hardons in their pants skulking around side doors.
2. Self Interest. Hospitality jobs SUCK. Be real- assume that under-paid person behind the counter is looking at every person who walks in the door and thinking "I hope this guy is not here to give me any kind of hassle. This fucker probably has some bullshit coupon and is going to waste 20 minutes of my life fucking with me about his rate or a hypoallergenic pillow or something. I hope he's already checked in and is just on the way to his room."
Be that guy who looks and acts like he checked in the day before on somebody else's shift.

This.

It's kind of a form of screening as well. If you can't handle a parking garage without resorting to amateur ninja tactics.....
