Default March madness, is it really madness??

I normally come to Vegas once a year during NFL season to play craps and bet on college and pro football but this year I have added a second trip during the first week of March madness

I have heard it is crazy as in Super Bowl type crazy and I was wondering what to be prepared for.

I have my hotel room and my reserved spot in the sport book through my host but what about ladies? Is it to college centric or will every lady here and pretty much every stripper within 3 hours be here?

its super bowl type crazier!!

my host comped my wonderful room for four nights and i have a hoops on the strip set up.

i doubt ill go to it. i won't sit in the sports book either. ill probably head over to planets (note: not where i am staying) diamond lounge where i can relax and run downstairs to the speed it up line to place bets. they also have a little set up to place bets on the mezz level...

hope to see you at the craps table with all of our winnings. whatever I'm up, I'm going to parlay two games with the over that ill be able to cash in before i leave!

yeah, I'm a girl.

Why not bet using an app? I enjoyed that last year, made life so much easier.

Use a sportsbook app. I have 4 on my devices. William Hill, Cantor, South Point, and Stations. Pretty much every book is offering a mobile app that checks to see if you're in Nevada to allow online bets. The location check is pretty solid (can't be tethered). Gotta say WH does a better job on the lines and parlays than Cantor. If you can hit the sportsbook window when it's slow to make your initial deposit (most require a minimum $100 cash, put way more if you have a good bankroll), it'll make betting that much easier than waiting in a long ass line. Unless you camp your spot in the sportsbook at midnight (only a slight exaggeration) there is no where to sit in the sportsbook that first weekend of March Madness. It's definitely a shared experience, something like NYE at Time Square NYC or the strip, just to say you did it once.

The mobile apps have in-game betting which is the degenerate gambler's version of crack. Fair warning. Only thing I can say is that it only works in Nevada. Probably a good thing if you're visiting. Not sure if they're doing balls and strikes during spring training.

i would prefer making bets with my bookie back in maryland before i downloaded an app for betting. i can just make a quick phone call and do all of that...

the whole point of being back in vegas for march madness is to be in the excitement of it all. at least for me. i enjoy talking to others in line. talking to the writer at the window.

if i had to wait in line i wouldnt want to do it, but going from a comfy seat right up to the window, thats part of the fun.

Yeah the apps are very enjoyable. Especially during big events, no need to miss the actual event.
