Default Is this a growing trend?

Over on BP we have this warning posted this morning about a pimp hiding in the closet with a gun:

http://kc.backpage.com/FemaleEscorts...n-the/18905588

Then there is the alert about "Honey Monroe" who seems to have changed her name again last night. We have the alert about Cloe with a similar situation. And it seems like that there was a 4th one just recently too about another girl.

I have only been in the hobby a couple of years, so I am not sure if this is pretty common in this hobby? I just don't recall there being so many similar reports/alerts all at the same time.

PS. - I did not post this in the Alert section as I am not the OP on BP and have no firsthand knowledge if the facts are true or not.

I don't have any numbers to back up a guess but that kind of thing has happened for as long as I've been paying attention. The thing is though, it doesn't (often?) happen with reviewed, trusted providers. If you go home with a random person in any circumstances - uh, yeah, you're playing with fire.

A provider with many months or years of reviews from people you've become familiar with is no more likely to fall off the deep end and hide someone in their closet than any other rational and sane person you know.

I'm always amazed at the stories from people who see a completely unknown provider from BP or even here and then write in shock and dismay about their harrowing experience. They are missing the point of this community and then coming here for advice on how to pick up the pieces.

Ok, are you all not tired of my various hotel discretion and security comments?
Yes this is an issue.
See my Alert post about 45th and Main. And, there were issues at this site spring 2015
In addition, in Indy a few months ago two diff groups came to the pastry squad atten a few months ago for same crap.

Ignoring that folks on this board are hopefully smart enough to not endup involved in these situations, I'll make a few comments anyway.

Hotel staff will not put up with this crap. Thus, they have invited pastry boys to advise and the pastry boys have taken up procedures for this. Of course this opens the door for all sorts of things that pastry boys are interested in at hotels.

Note that these folks are counting on folks to not report incidents. You don't need to call cops direct. Anonymous to a tip line, or to hotel staff could occur instead.

This is the hottest topic nowadays for hotel folks.

And, it's to the point that some of the older dogs are now backing up the kids that are the front line of hotel operations.

Fair question. Although I did think it obvious. Thanks to the Captain for his short ans, but there's a bit more.

Sometimes the youngest staff, that always get stuck for pulling the evening/night shift, do not know how to, or are afraid to, make the correct decisions on selected issues. Or they simply do not have sufficient experience in understanding all aspects of hotel "guests". And, frankly, some of the kids are scared about the armed robbery crap that's been going on (over a half doz publically reported cases since Feb). And rightly so. As mentioned above, they don't get paid squat.

Hotel folks are a group that work hard, play hard, have friends in other hotels, etc. So they all back each other up, regardless of the hotel name on the door, and, even if no longer actually in that game.

This not actually a hobby issue, but it's connected because this is armed robbery that uses hobby as bait.

Dnr lists (the entire lists) are shared between hotels more so than just last year, and the pastry squad is on call.
Btw, the larger hotels all have their own internal security that are in the game also.

So everyone, guys and also gals, play smart.

Thanks for taking the time for the info.
I for one appreciate the extra safety / security and having been a night auditor long ago I bet the hotel staffs appreciate the presence when not so nice players in this game are around.

Playing safe is key.

100% correct in communities that only have "hotel providers" In the city there is real crime and much less money. LE doesn't have the time to stroll through hotels, run local tags and chat with staff about someone who has committed a misdemeanor crime.

Further more....respect the property and rules and be generous with tips. This is the ridiculous conversation we are forced into...as I feminist, I find it contrary to every thing that the movement stands for.

I have made an educated decision that the hobby allows me to artistically express myself and share in what I believe to be one of my giftings. Oddly, It a spiritual thing that I inherently think that I have and others do as well.

It's s moral issue that those who try to enforce...thrive on it and only make those rules for the heard to follow because they think we are too stupid to make our own decisions. Make your own decisions without doubt that those making them for you are likely on the opposite side of the fence in their real life. That's a Known Fact, Jack!

Thank you for your thoughts on this Arianna, particularly about two bits of hotel stuff I didn't mention.

The easiest way to get on a hotel dnr list is to violate the property rules.
Noise, damage, trashing a room, otherwise disturbing other guests, etc.
And the hands down best way to get dnr'd is to hack off a maid.
The maids can be your best friend or worst enemy, and of all hotel
staff, they always know what's going on in every room.
