That's nice of you to offer a veterans discount sweetie. A current member serving the US Armed Forces will have a CAC Card [Military ID], and we usually wear our ID Tags (Dog Tags).
I'd suggest matching the military ID with a state license for verification. If you need any advice on this let me know.
Have a safe day to all here. SALUTE!

Don, you can order a replacement online: https://www.archives.gov/veterans/. Found these guidelines on the correct form to order:
1950 to current - DD form 214
1945-1949 - NAVMC 78PD
Prior to 1945 - Only a letter given to Marine signifying service.
With you being ooooold Corps, didn't you once say you qualified on the rifle range with a muzzle loaded rifle?

Barely....qualified that is. And I'll have you know it had a rifled barrel even if the cartridges were greasy paper and you had to bite into the damn things before you stuffed 'em in the hole.

It's terrible, and the majority of the time, they are doing it for a discount at a store. I love watching the videos where they get confronted by real soldiers. It's almost amusing has the old "to catch a predator videos"

Thanks for that bit of info.
OP I think a recognition would be a nice gesture for active duty, reserve and vets.
