I have been noticing Alot of kids playing online these days on there smart phones Due to the parents blocking porn sites they have figured out how to find provider sites to waste everyone's time for nude pix n catfish.. how old do u think a kid should be be4 they get there first smart phone and y.....

When they can pay for it and the monthly service. If all their friends have one and they want one then they need to get a part time job to pay for it. A child having a cell phone is a good idea because of emergencies and texting their friends but why do they need a smart phone? Texting, sexting, surfing the web are getting more and more kids in trouble and preyed on everyday. When I child comes up missing the first thing that police check is their the surfing history. They have horrible car accidents attempting to text and drive. They use their cell phone to bully other kids. They put picture on the internet they will never be able to remove. When you go in for a good job the first thing they check is your online history. They could mess up their future careers doing stupid things today. So, I say again other than peer pressure why do they need smart phones?

I was raised during the pager years. N I wasn't allowed to have one unless I paid 4 it. My teen doesn't have a cell bc he can't pay 4 it. None the less he is upset bc all his friends have smartphones n he doesnt .There is a Landline if he needs to make a call n a tab if he needs to use the net. Which can only use in front on me. rule is if u can pay 4 it n service u can have it.

I was a claims adjuster for years, and the number of crashes, injuries, and even deaths that are caused by negligence as a result of texting while driving is alarming and on the rise. Many jurisdictions have not only adopted laws against this, but have amended the way personal injury and wrongful death claims and lawsuits can be pursued when someone is found to be negligent and was texting at the time. They have opened the way for punitive damages, which most insurance policies don't cover, leaving the parents (or whomever owns the vehicle the texter was driving) wide open to the loss of personal assets they would never put at risk if they understood the law as it is evolving. If I had teens today, just being able to pay for a smart phone would not be enough; they would have to demonstrate the maturity to know when and when not to use it.
