At the risk of revealing how much of an old geezer I am...

Supposedly at the time of his retirement the late French president Charles DeGaulle and his wife were attending a dinner in President DeGaulle's honor. While making small talk at the table, someone asked Madame DeGaulle what she looking forward to now that her husband was retiring from politics, and she responded "A penis."

The dinner guest looked at each other somewhat uncomfortably, wondering what Madame DeGaulle was getting at, and how to respond to this, when President DeGaulle looked over to his wife and said, "Mon cherie, in English that word is pronounced 'Happiness'."
