Vietnam not worth visiting for mongering
I have been to Vietnam several times and, this time, I think the scene in HCMC is less fun. The girls are not as pretty, the prices continue to be high in the bars, there are much fewer street girls, etc. Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines, and elsewhere offer much higher quality experiences and prettier girls for lower prices.
If you choose to come, there are a number of girlie bars on Bui Vien street. The price they will ask is about 1,500,000 VND for shorttime and 2,500,000 for longtime. You can probably reduce the number by about 500,000 with some negotiation. I have not barfined any girls this trip--I'm uninspired and my hotel doesn't allow nighttime visitors. Sometimes the girl will cover the barfine, which is often about 300,000. Drinks are about 40,000 and girlie drinks are about 80,000.
In some of the restaurants and bars, esp. the Mexican restaurant on the corner, you can find freelancers having drinks. They will give you the eye. They are mature: In their 30s.
On Bui Vien, there are many guys on bicycles and motorcycles touting girls and drugs. I don't trust them. Their price is 900,000 shorttime, sometimes including hotel.
Also on Bui Vien, some massage places do happy ending. They will usually ask 500,000 above the massage fee, but you can negotiate down to 300,000 or lower.
On Pham Ngu Lao, you will find some freelancers, who also say they have more beautiful friends if you don't like what you see. The price is also 900,000 shorttime.
The park towards the market sometimes has lonely girls sitting on park benches. They will say hello. I had luck in past trips, but, this trip, they were are old looking.
If you want to go where some locals go, you can go to some Hoc Tocs for a HJ.
I think there is ISG and other places to find out more, but this is a little helpful start for those who want to waste some time in Vietnam.

Don't assume your hotel will allow visitors. There are a number of shorttime hotels and hotels that allow girls, but you need to know. The best deal for nice rooms is about $15 at Saigon Amigo 185/24 Pham Ngu Lao, Distr 1. Another near the bars is Ha Vy, 16-18 Do Quan Dau Str, Dist 1. Rooms aren't as nice and are intended for shortterm. A very nice and pricey hotel is further away Hoang Hai Long Hotel. 52B-62-64 Pham Hong Thai Street. They handle the girls professionally and ask for IDs.
