There's nobody defending you in a lot of sports: swimming, track, Tour de France. Doesn't mean golf can't be viewed as a sport. And yes, there is a lot of movement in golf other than walking; swinging a golf club is controlled movement to hit a golf ball precisely, exactly where you want it to go.
But...if you want to say it's not a sport...your opinion.
