There is absolutely no hard proof, or soft proof, that James Holmes picked the theater he did because it did not allow guns. Do you have any proof other than pure conjecture?

The other 95% believe in some level of gun control, from your limited example all the way to total elimination of guns, probably equal to or less than the 5% who want no gun control.

I wasn't trying to make a huge issue out of it other than saying to Iiffy that those who want no gun control in this country are a very small minority as are those who want total gun control. The one thing I will agree with you on is that the issue of how much gun control might be correct is a continuum with each person responding differently.

The mistake many of you Progs are making, and I written about this before, is wanting to put EVERYTHING gun related in the US on the bargaining table, from the Second Amendment down.

There is a problem with the mentally unstable acquiring guns in this country. I'll agree with that. Just being able to keep guns out of these people's hands, and we won't be able to do that completely, is going to take a lot of work and political will.

It will not happen with Dims screaming to get rid of guns completely. You are "shooting yourself in the foot."

The folks who are screaming "white privilege" or "racial hypocrisy" or "terrorism" surrounding the mass killings again are "shooting themselves in the foot" also. The Aurora shooter, the Gabby Giffords shooter and the Sandy Hook Shooter all had a history of mental problems. I believe at least two were being treated.

Only by recognizing this fact and addressing it singularly will any like incidents be avoided.

On a related note, the parent(s) who bought the weapon for their son need to be held somewhat accountable for his actions.
