How long did you wait before you started the hobby?

This could have many meanings, I did not start doing the hobby until a little over 2 years ago. What got me into the hobby was a bad marriage, it was not like I did not get sex I did all the time. But I was not getting the fantasy it was just the same old thing every time she liked it 1 or 2 ways and did not ever want to do anything else, and blow jobs were the worst. So I got into the hobby I trolled around for a good year before I took my first dive. No regrets.

Great stories and great thread. I started in my early 20s prior to marriage and then never participated again until that ended many years later. When I returned some things had changed...some had not! I started with more mature providers and still prefer them today.

Im early 30's, started when I was 24. What got me started was when I took a trip with my gf at the time and our friends to Amsterdam. The redlight district had me in awe! Seeing girls in the windows out in the open like that made me want to have an experience with a provider back home. I have a different perspective on it now though. I have mixed feelings about the red light district because a lot of those girls are there against their will, it's a sad situation to say the least.

I started a year and four months ago. Started mainly out of boredom. Mainly a P411 guy so far and only hobbying while traveling. I Still haven't taken the plunge locally. Getting close though. This site has been very helpful easing my comfort level with the local scene.

Started with strip clubs for like a year before I knew about eccie, had a lot of success with it but didn't like the inconsistency with cost. Moved to amps after discovering eccie because they were so close, convenient and consistent. Eventually moved on to Indies.

I now try to do a mix of strip clubs and Indies to keep it fresh. It's been fun and I get the benefit of diversity of girls without drama of broken car windows, crying phone calls, juggling dates and poor sex.

I'd like to see you clarify what you mean by "waited".

I was on ECCIE for about a year before I took the plunge with a provider.

The first time I paid for sex was 1969 or 1970, when I found out you could fuck Asian girls for $30/hr in the Montrose area of Houston. If you were a regular and it was a weeknight, you could often get 90 minutes for that money. It was about the same you'd pay for a nice dinner with drinks, a movie, & dessert with a "real" girl.

Asian girls were a rare commodity in civilian life back in those days. I had met exactly one in 20 years, so this was pretty much the only way to scratch that particular itch.

BTW, in those days, everything was bareback, and everything you were likely to catch could be cured with two Coke bottles full of penicillin shot into your ass. And neither I nor any of my friends ever caught anything anyway.

Part time lurker; it took quite a while just to join here. A month in and I decided to give it a go. Honestly, I was so nervous I couldn't think straight...still haven't gotten completely comfortable.

I hobbies for a few years when I was traveling for business. Mainly in NYC but some in Chicago and LA but never had the balls to do it in my backyard. I was a member of P411 before I was a member of ECCIE and saw several providers had linked their ECCIE reviews to their profiles so that is how I found the sight. I made an appointment with a provider probably 2 weeks after joining. Once I start something I usually don't wait around much. Have had some great experiences here and have meet some really great ladies so no regrets here either.

As far as the hobby in general, there has never been anything wrong with my sex life at home. I am just not someone that is wired to only be with one person. Variety is truly the spice of life! That and the adrenaline rush that comes with the chance of getting caught...

I started the Hobby 16 years ago yes I was under age then I started in strip clubs lying about my age to make some cash. Then at 18 I seen an ad for a local agency an called them. I wasn't told anything about the true hobby an on my first appointment I was totally freaked out when I realized what was really going on. I almost quit that same night an then I realized I was doing what other girls did for free an as a single mom it paid the bills.

After a few visits I got use to it an started to really enjoy working. An 5 years ago I started a Backpage ad an one of those clients told me about Eccie. I'm glad the client did I really enjoyed it here an then quit for a few reasons on being so I could enjoy raising my newly adopted son. I started back with my original choice of agencies (Diamond International) about two years ago to get my feet wet again an then decided to come back to being independent when I realized Agencies are no longer getting as much business an I enjoy not just the money an not having to split it but also working an meeting new people.

@Kneewalk by waited i mean the hobby in general if you did at all, i waited for because i wanted to be safe is all, talking on this site with other hobbyist/providers has helped me out so much and put my mind at ease.
