Default Band ThreAD

Thanks to all the guys and gals that came out to see the band Friday and Saturday night.

If anyone else is ever interested just PM me for the appearance schedule.

And, no, there's never a cover charge and I'm not trying to "drum" up business. We're always paid a set fee.

It's just that I enjoy seeing everyone who attends have a great time -- it makes my job much easier!!!

Thanks, CC.

Lotta musical legends in that movie: Ray Charles, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, James Brown...

Classic stuff
Its amazing how many people appeared in that movie,
Carrie Fisher, John Candy, Steve Lawrence, Twiggy, Chaka Khan, Paul Reubens, Steven Spielberg, Joe Walsh, John Landis.
That I can remember right off the bat.

Sorry for not responding to Hm64 and Celso. I haven't checked out this thread in a while.

Anyway, the next gig is this weekend: Friday and Saturday, March 27th and 28th.

The show starts at 9 pm on both nights and the venue is located in Greece.

If anyone's interested, just PM me for the name of the place and the address.

Would very much like to see some of you out there this weekend.

And sorry, Celso, no lincks. We're just an old school band that enjoys performing Pop and Rock and Roll music of the 50s, 60s, and 70s.

Me play this stuff?

If I practiced 40 hours a week for the rest of my life I couldn't touch the drummers you illustrated!

These guys are world-class. They're technicians!

I don't have enough technique. I'm basically an emotional player. Besides, by singing the lion's share of the show I have to compromise something, and it can't be the vocals so it has to be the drums.

In the end; all I know how to do is count in a band and play the song! If I were to try a drum solo, I'd be out of material in about 30 seconds!

Alas -- my own fault -- I don't practice rudimentary technique like I should because I'm too lazy!!!
