Intelligence reports issued by the U.S. government this week are reporting that 11 commercial jets may have been stolen by Islamic terrorists who took control of an airport in Libya late last month.
Officials are warning that the stolen airliners could be used in attacks later this month to mark the anniversary of the September, 11, 2001 attacks. This comes on the heels of a U.S. government bulletin warning that Islamic Terrorists were planning to attack the United States.
In response to what intelligence officials are calling “increased chatter” by terrorist groups around the globe, the United Kingdom raised their alert to ‘Severe’ and Prime Minister David Cameron told reporters that an attack was “highly likely.”
