Go to the Upstate NY section and read under the headlines of the forums and figure a few things out. You'll spend the same amount of time as you would asking questions blindly.

PlasticMan is a colorful local character and a necessary one. If you're extremely impressed with yourself, you'll find him obnoxious but if you can take a self-deprecating laugh, he'll throw you a few.
