Why is Louisville so slow?

I'm new to the Louisville area. I really want to stay in the area, but things are really slow here. I get more contacts from IN, IL, and TN. I have YET to have a date with someone local. Is there a reason for this? I am a TER and P411 verified independent provider, and I refuse to work for an agency. Could this be part of the problem?n I'd like to hear from Providers and clients alike.

Two years ago or so I had maybe 3-4 great independent providers that I saw on a regular basis, but they have retired or moved on. It would be a great place for regulars, but the demand is high for GFE. Those who fall short of that seem to not do as well.

I come up there often, and if not for a good connection with a local agency, I would be stuck in my hotel room watching porn, LOL

I understand that GFE (which it is my preference to provide) is in high demand, but the problem is that even with my stellar GFE review, there seems to be no interest in this area. I'm new to the community and to the KY area, and all the dates/potential dates I've had have been in the surrounding areas. I've even had a date from ECCIE travel SIX HOURS to see me! But, right here at home... NOTHING. Someone else mentioned agencies having the upperhand in this area, but I refuse to work for an agency. Guess that leaves us Independent Providers out in the cold here, huh?

Unfortunately, I am not providing incall at this time. I'm very selective in whom I choose to spend time with. Because I am new to the community and this area, I would like to establish friendships and reach a personal level of trust before providing incalls, as I prefer to do so in the comfort of my home. Well I started off in the industry here in Louisville and I do travel pretty frequently. This city has great gentlemen all around but I have noticed most gentlemen focus their attention on agencies or bp.

There are those gents that do browse other sites such as p411, ter, date-check, tbd, eros. All and all bp is the most visited site for this city !!

In the past I have had a local independent that I saw on a regular basis. She has since retired. I have stuck mainly with out of town independents visiting since that time, but must admit to a slow down in my activity also as a result.

I've gotten some pretty good interest from Eros. P411 and TER have been slow for me in this area, though. I've yet to check out tbd and date-check, bbut I think I'll get on that. BP... That's a no-no for me. I just can't ever see myself posting there. Thanks a lot for the advice, msjayla!

Foot in my mouth, Msjayla, for I am now a BP poster, lol. Seems so ironic to me that most of the more experienced providers and hobbyists say the same thing about BP: It's a necessary evil. I guess I've decided to take all advice, but simply do what I've been doing with every other client: screen, screen, SCREEN!

I'm curious. Do providers charge the same for BP as they do for P411 or ECCIE?

Do you mention ECCIE or P411 to clients you meet off of BP? Or providers for you gents reading this.
Many gents say they use BP only if they feel a challenge. Meaning they are looking for that diamond UTR. The challenge is to not get ripped off or meet with LE.
Why use more reputable sites? We do our best to weed out problem clients and problem providers. It's a place to gather reviews and so gents have an idea what to expect from a certain provider. If you happen to peruse some more active state's forums you can get an idea where a community will stick up for one another and call out the trolls and posers when they occur. If there is interest in making this place more active we can all pitch in and start to get to know one another and soon you'll see it pick up.

Now guys, why do you prefer agency's.
With the more well known ones you pay more but you know what to expect.
For you indies, once the reviews start building up here guys will know very well what to expect. There are other reasons why guys use BP. What could they be?
Also I will ad. Many times a guy will post in search of when he's visiting. I get many stories on how they are astonished no providers have contacted them.

I advertised for this week and only got one person on a site that generally doesn't have many members south of the Ohio river.

I'm resisting posting on BP, just so risky and so many time wasters to wade through. I would never respond to an ISO there. Here or other sites I might, depending on what he's looking for and what kind of 'vibe' I pick up from anything he's posted- or not.

At home in Lexington, I see quite a few gents from out of town through P411, some through TER and DC. NR is dead in the water anymore. That's the only thing I really had for L'ville. So, I go to Cincy, C'bus and on north and have ventured through WV last fall. TN is close but I'm not sure due to hearing Nashville and Knoxville can be so 'hot'.

I'd really rather stay closer to home and not have to go all the way to Pgh twice a year or so.

I was in TN during May and I had no problems in Knoxville, Nashville or Memphis. Screen well like normal and you'll be fine too.
